Freemasonry defines itself as ‘a peculiar system of morality, veiled in allegory and illustrated by symbols’. To become a Mason is to enter a forest of symbols–a forest that became denser and more extensive as the Brotherhood spread around the world over three centuries. The beautiful cover of The Craft, designed by Greg Coulton, is composed from some of the most important symbols in Masonry.
